Freedom Munitions issues

Well, I placed an order three weeks ago and their website warned of a waiting period for shipments. So, I waited and waited and now my order has completely disappeared. I called and emailed them with no response in days.

Has anyone else ever had this issue? It's infuriating!

i all ways gotten good  and fast service from them.  did you get a order confirmation email from them?  did you print off your order receipt?  you can email it to them and they will find your order.  was your card charges?

I wrote them off after I ordered 480 rounds of .308, waited months, and then they canceled my order. I immediately went back on the site to see what was going on, and they had raised their prices and had some ammo back up for sale (that sold out quickly). That happened during the gun ban panic fwiw.

With business practices like that, I'm done with them.

As a gunsmith and instructor I've seen and done a lot of shooting over the years. I have only shot maybe 4 boxes of cartridges from Freedom that I had received in a trade. One box contained 2 rounds with primers that were either backwards or sideways and crushed in place. I figured it was a rare anomaly so I saved the defective rounds to teach with.

Then about a year later a student said they had some ammo at home that was the same way, so they were afraid to shoot it. They brought it in for me to examine and it turned out to also be from Freedom. I assumed it was an odd coincidence, and it probably was, but it was a good example why you should never purchase defense loads from a reloader, remanufacturer, or unknown source. And I never personally buy or shoot any non-commercial reloads (loaded by just some random guy), and I always carefully inspect any target ammo I might acquire that comes from a remanufactured or surplus source.

If credit card wasn't charged within hours, something went wrong during order process.

I just put order in Friday, got shipping number today. Only ordered from them once before, maybe 2 months ago, also shipped in a week or less.

Never had any problems with them. Buy almost all my 9mm and 45 from them. I did order some 9 Monday before last and just got the shipment on Tuesday but that is the longest I've ever waited

Nothing but good experiences here. A few hundred 9mm with no problems, and I've gone through 3 of 5 boxes of their new 10mm 180gr XTP loads without a hitch. Wifey actually likes shooting this particular load in our EAA Witness Elite 10MM. This, from a woman who hated guns when we met!

So far, I like the ammo I got in a member buy. Run almost 500 rounds of 9mm and no problems at all in my G34 and PPQ.

Almost wish I had more of their 124 9mm for range use. But I have too much 115 to buy any now unless it's a really good price.

Survival Ops for 50bmg, until I met you and then I tried Freedom. Freedom was good (bought 50bmg API and 5.56x45 in bulk) until the panic during the ban threat. I just felt it was crappy and shady to cancel my order after waiting that long only to find it back up for sale at panic prices.

So I guess you like their 50 ammo?  I've read mixed reviews coming from arfcom so I take it with a grain of salt.  Interested to hear your opinion because I've thought about trying it.

Yeah I've read those to, I bought 8 cans x 150 of various rounds from Freedom for $2.12rd delivered, so far 800 went boom with no issues, I've been meaning to try out SO if the price is right...

Let Freedom Ring!!! LOL.

Well, they finally responded to my emails and told me I needed to re-verify my payment information. There was some sort of issue, which they didn't even explain. At this point, I don't even want the order. My card wasn't charged so screw it.

Went to ammunition depot instead and got a great deal. My second shopping with them and it has been a flawless experience so far.

I bought 50 BMG API from Freedom and had a few rounds that wouldn't chamber at all. Accuracy, I felt, was a bit less at times than TMI 50 BMG ammo. But I also had some rounds from TMI 50 BMG that would not chamber; the average junk rounds per 150rd can from both of them is usually 3 to 4 rounds. I run the ammo through an ArmaLite AR50-A1B.

FWIW... I bought my http://www.tmi50bmg.com/ through https://www.survivalops.com/ because it was always a bit cheaper. But customer service from Survival Ops is HORRIBLE!

You'll order a 150rd can from Survival and wait forever for your CC to even be charged (weeks sometimes) and then you Email the guy repeatedly to find out what's going on and by the time he emails you back, the ammo is on the way or already been received by you.

So what you gain in accuracy and save in cost, you lose in customer service and waiting.

Knocking the dust off this one. First ordered from them early this year. Finally ran some two weeks ago and all went well. Placed a small order last week since funds are dwindling. Only ordered 250 each of 40S&W and 9mm. Got today-200 rounds of one and 150 rounds of the other. No heads up that anything was in short supply when I ordered. I emailed since I missed the phone times. We will see.

Dang man, you are just cursed with them somehow. I just got my third or fourth order through them, all fine, all shipped within 48 hours or less of placing order.

edit: oops, thought you were OP in thread. .

Great. We just ordered a huge amount from them yesterday. Here's hoping it goes smoothly.

I have ordered from them on many occasions and never had a problem. I am talking thousands of rounds of 9mm, 45acp and 38 special. All fired without issue and delivery was uneventful.

I've got 3k rounds on order right now. Still says processing. Maybe Underwood just set a high bar considering it was packed and shipped the same day it was ordered. I'll be calling if I don't see/hear something by Friday.

I've ordered from them a few times, reloads for cheap practice.... always fast, and the ammo has always been great.  I don't recall the numbers exactly, but its been a few thousand rounds, mainly 9mm and 45.
