Romanian WASR 10/63 AK-47

I just got my first AK and it is a Romanian WASR 10/63 with a threaded barrel.I don't know the first thing on AK's and was hopeing to hear some feed back or hear any input on this rifle.I know they all don't have threaded barrels,does the threaded barrel mean that it is a pre ban rifle?Is there anyway to find out if it is a pre ban or not?Just want to hear ya'll opinions on this rifle.Thanks!

I just bought one of these a couple of weeks ago. I've put about 50 rounds through it and love it:love: I can't believe how good the trigger is. I swear it's match grade. Definatly better than either my AR or my Garand's trigger. Don't know about the threaded barrel, although mine does have one.

Never really knew much about AK's before, other than getter shot at by them, but I'm quickly turning to the dark side:shhh:

I've got one too. Have put about 500 rounds through it...only cleaned it twice......still works great!!!

I acquired one last weekend. Took forever to get all of the packing grease off of it and everything else packed with it. What a mess and some interesting stares from the wife.

I have one also and have never had a problem of any kind. Lots of fun. I put a red dot on mine (old eyes cannot see the sights) and made it that much more fun.

+1 on the grease. What a mess that was.

I just got one today from Gunnys in Maryville. They let me shoot one and that's all it took. Said they had just got it in and could keep them. Can't to this weekend to go shoot it.

I've got 3 WASR10's and have never had a problem with any of them. You used to be able to pick them up for under $300.

A lot of WASR's have a nut welded on the end of the barrel to meet the post-ban restrictions. Its easy to cut through the weld with a Dremel...remove the not, and then add a brake on the threaded barrel.
