Palmetto state armory AR 15?

Are these any good?A guy is wanting to trade me a Unfired Rifle, says PA 15 multi caliber on the receiver ,flattop with 16" SS barrel. 1/8 twist. Suppose to be a factory rifle.

Palmetto makes very good equipment. I have had two of their rifles (builds) and think very highly of them. Hope this helps.

I bought my wife an PSA upper for Christmas, and I've probably built 10 lowers from PSA parts kit. I am very pleased with PSA stuff. I've heard mixed reviews on the PTAC line they also sell but never had any personal experience.

I do gunsmith work, teach AR15 build classes, and have owned / built / worked on / shot / cleaned more than 100 PSA guns including PTAC, and nearly all other brands of ARs and AR parts. Never any issues, it's been good stuff.

In fact I just purchased the parts to build two more AR10 rifles, and I got everything from PSA on sale with free shipping. Can't wait for it to arrive, most of it comes tomorrow. Edited April 1, 2015 by wileecoyote

Never had a complete rifle but i have built a lot off rifles with ther parts all top quality stuff and a lot of ther barels are made by FN

My brother has one, and I've shot it numerous times and have been pretty impressed. Solid, accurate and reliable.

I have built three complete PSA rifles using their parts. Finishing the third one right now as a matter of fact.

 

They are good to go.

 

They sell complete and parts. I don't know how to tell the difference. If it matters. The upper was probably complete even if it is a parts gun, so there shouldn't be any issues.

Best I can tell its a Freedom Carbine model.It shows it on sale for Easter for $550, reg $750. Only difference is the one on the website has a 1/7 barrel and he said his has a 1/8 barrel

I recently order a new complete upper and complete lower from them. They both look great but there is quite a bit of wiggle in the fit between the two.

Do it, you will not regret it. I'm waiting on their next sale on uppers to pick up another complete upper myself. Never had anything from them be disappointing. Their triggers are actually one of the better mil-spec ones around in my experience Edited April 1, 2015 by KKing

Just repeating everyone else, but I have lots of PSA and PTAC builds. All great. Good prices and good quality.
