yeah looks like we are in for a rough ride for the next four years

Guys, all we can do as Americans is keep fighting the good (and legal) fight for individual rights under the Constitution.

No president has yet been elected that has not had a significant portion of the population totally against some part of his platform.

Even though I am a total pessimist about the future of America (and the rest of the world), it has little to do with the impact of one man or party for a 4-8 year duration.

I for one sincerely hope that in ways we can't yet foresee, Barack Obama will be deemed one of our greatest presidents and will somehow bring all Americans' hearts and minds closer together rather than further apart.

I really hate Obama but please don't be ignorant and say he is muslim just because you got a stupid chain email saying that he is. Please.

Seriously, I really need to go buy a rifle now. We are indeed effing effed.

I foresee the Secret Service having their hands full. I, for one, hope that one or two of them have indulged in a few too many twinkies... and lost a little speed off their running.

Never thought I'd see the day when we would elect someone like obama as President. This is NOT the country we grew up in.

As Oh Shoot says, "in ways yet unforseen, obama will unite rather than divide this country." If obama implements any or all of the socialistic programs he has talked about during the campaign, this country will indeed become more divided than united. I hope and pray this does not happen and we can return to what this country once was.

How long before we muster for the new & improved "Million (Armed) Man March" in Washington?

He may not be a muslim, but if his pastor of the last twenty years is any indication he may be something far worse. Hold on to you hats folks, its gonna be a nasty ride.

Yeah, we shouldn't say he's a Muslim. It is pretty clear he doesn't even know what he is. BUT WE'RE IN FOR CHANGE! Yeah. My fat ass. We're in for some dark days, and this is gonna be a long four years.

I have plenty of time on my hands tomorrow...I believe I'll have to make a Hero Gear run and start stocking up for the next ban.

He may not claim to be muslim, but when every major Muslim leader in the world comes out and throws their support behind him, I'll consider him a muslim by proxy. And I really don't like most muslims, I have had fight too damned many of them on their soil, I sure as hell didn't want to be lead by one on my own soil.

remember that the constitution gives us the right to keep and bare arms and it will be a sad day when they try to take our guns from us because on that day they will have broken their oath of office to swear that they will faithfully execute the office of president of the united states and will to the best of their ability preserve protect and defend the constitution of the united states. in my mind any body that try to take our guns is a traitor and should treated as such

Do you honestly think Obama cares about our constitution? He's already shown how much respect he has for the beliefs our country was founded on. Hell... look at his respect for the American flag. The Constitution? He'd probably use it to wipe his ass, if he was out of toilet paper.

Remember, he considers the Constitution a "flawed" document. Care to wager on which part he decides is flawed first...me, I'm up in the air...it will be either the first or the second amendment....

we are seriously screwed. our gun rights are about to be screwed even more.

LOL, Like anyone would USE their guns to fight for our Rights anyway. I'm sick of people talking about how "We need our guns to keep our government in check." Hogwash, everytime I even wisper that we take up arms and march on D.C. I get a bunch of people telling me that I'm crazy, that we don't do things that way in this country, that we have the Vote and that the way we do things is with the power of the Vote. Well, looks like the Vote failed us and I really don't see anyone here loading up and heading to D.C. any time soon.

I use to care but I'm at the point where I really don't care anymore.

Giving him a lot of credit, toilet paper costs money; the Constitution has been payed for...

He wouldn't pay for it...he would take YOUR toilet paper to use. Or at least to give to someone else who needed it more.

I sit here after the election has been decided and Obama wins for 2008, listening to the media, I finally had to turn it off. To me this is a sad day. I don’t understand how people can vote for someone who has lied so openly and so many times. I think that I have completely lost my faith in humanity. I had doubts before but I now know that people really are sheep, they have no mind for themselves about what matters. I don’t even know how to put into words what is going through my mind. Fear, anger, anxiety all are clouding right now.

So where do we go from here? What do we do to ensure that our way of life, that our pursuit of happiness is not infringed? Our guns are our lives. For people like me guns are also the well being of our family as it is our source of income. We are not savages running around and shooting people. We abide by the law concerning firearms and for the most part every other law. With the exception of a speeding ticket every now and again, we are law abiding citizens. So what is our fascination with guns? Why do we cling to them so dearly? Since the beginning of time man has competed in events to show superiority in ones mind, body and spirit, as well as to have a sense of pride, accomplishment and to just have a good time. Shooting is our event. It challenges every one of the senses as well as the ability to keep a sound mind in a difficult and possibly deadly situation.

I dont know guys sorry to ramble but my mind is going a million miles an hour with this fear that the "change" offered is not going to be the kind of change that we want or that this country needs. I understand that we cannot control anything, that one man cannot control the fate of the free world and I understand that the man upstairs is the only one that is really in control and maybe he has a greater plan but man this is the scariest thing that I have ever seen.

Yeah, our country was swimming just fine with Bush in office.

Last time I checked, most of the major issues regarding firearms are still handled at the state level, not at the federal.

What are people thinking!!! Can they not see through him, or listen to what he is saying!!! For someone who talks about making America a better place to live, he isn't even close to doing that. He's trying to take away our right to bare arms, our right to protect ourselves and our families. Criminals will still get guns, but take them from those of us that get them legally and we will have little to no chance against them. Sry, I just had to vent. God bless us all
