Government Peddling Pot

I have no problem with weed and there is no reasonable explanation as to why it is illegal.  That being said, it's not one of my vices.

Regardless, what I have a problem with is any government agency actually going into business.  It is wrong on so many levels I don't know where to start.

North Booneville, WA has now opened a pot shop...on the state border with OR...without voter approval...owned and operated by that city for the sole purpose of revenue.

I like it when they do. Drives competition and theoretically should lower taxes. That being said they should still be subject to the same laws and taxes as any other business so as not to have an unfair advantage.

“Legal” pot is already way over the price of “illegal” pot. Local governments are already making a killing. The Feds won’t stand by and watch all this money change hands; they will want their cut.

I have no idea what weed costs or used to cost but I imagine it'll turn out like shine. What used to be 2-3 dollars is now 18-28.

Luckily we have the smartest people in their own mind in control.

Shine is no problem, make your own HOBBY 1-3 gallon still and make you own shine, it's fun easy and not cut in 1/2 with water. I inherited my Papaws recipe and make it every year for the family reunion it's some good stuff.

Not a hobby. Illegal. Beer and wine yes. Distillation without a license no. You can get a liscense for fuel purposes.

Correct, Federal law provides no exemptions for the production of distilled spirits for personal use in any amount.

You can apply for a fuel alcohol permit in Tennessee here.

Yeah it is technically illegal but honestly if I am making it for personal use not selling a drop of it and not flaunting it on youtube Meh I don't see anyone going out of there way to bust me. Hasn't happened yet anyway.

Guess thats off the table.

I'm sure the gov is only concerned for our safety and not tax revenue.

God Bless America!

True, but maybe best not to post on the interwebs. Any "good" moonshiner hasn't any "friends" to speak of.

Posting this information and admission of guilt on a public forum isn't exactly the best way to continue not being busted... But hey, your life...

Myself, I prefer not to break the law, and if I did, confessing it publicly would probably give my lawyer nightmares...
