Vehicle pistol mounts/holsters by Gum Creek

Anyone here ever tried Gum Creek holster mounts ? I thought a while back about mounting my own rig for carrying something when I don't want it strapped to me but I dont want it flopping around in the car. I just dont want to drill holes nor use velcro , or magnets or anything like that. Gum Creek looks pretty neat . Any you guys/gals had any experience with one ?

My first thought is that accessibility = visibility = target for theft. I'm also not sure that the steering wheel wouldn't get in the way at the most inconvenient of times.

Oh I know it's visible , I was never thinking of it as a form of storage. I was thinking of it as a form of a place to put a gun when I dont want to carry it on my belt and not have it flopping around in the seat . The main thing I was thinking of it for was that my wife and me always take long rides on our days off. It's kinda like our little thing we do. We go off riding down old back roads and end up driving around 200 miles or sometimes more on each trip. We spend a lot of time sight seeing and driving so to me this would be kinda neat. Then whenever we get out somewhere I could just pop it in my holster. Another reason was that , Lord forbid , if we ever wreck the car very bad , the gun would be more secure in something like that rather than a console or door pocket or so .

I have a Gum Creek, but mounted it to the console of my car. The holster is by the driver's right knee, easier to reach than under steering wheel.

Very well built, adjusts to different size handguns. I use the thumb brake, the brake took a a little trial and error. Works good now. I first had setup for double stack, now resized for single stack.

Worth the price.

I was able to use the hooks without using using screws. I did enlarge/spread a gap in the plastic panel. Edited by TN_Jim

I have one and have it under the steering wheel. LOVE IT!!! Worth every penny. Even when i got pulled over a while back for going a little too fast, the Officer loved it and said he was gonna order one. Great system!

I have two. One for each vehicle. Interiors are dark gray, windows are tinted, holster/mount are black and guns are black. Can't see it even in the daylight. Great option for vehicle carry!!!!!

I have one as well, bad back and not comfortable sitting on my gun. Works great in my situation. Black interior with tinted windows all the way around and not visible on the brightest of days. Easy access but I'm in a SUV so lots of room to spare. The guy that services my vehicle saw it and asked me about it and bought 3.
