Mostly a good round for an AR?

Haven't shot the round yet, but I've read fairly good reviews and I found it cheap. And I can get my hands on it cheap.

Same question for the PMC?

Both are 55g FMJ. All are plinker-intended only.

Thanks for the input!

Sweet, sweet irony! Thoughts on the OP?

Regarding PMC, I have read quite a few threads on M4Carbine stating that people are having trouble with PMC rounds causing their rifles to short-stroke. Ostensibly from having too light of a powder charge.

I recently bought some Armscor ammo from Joe @ Hero Gear and it has performed flawlessly. In fact, I need to go buy more from him soon.

I don't recall precisely. I bought some other stuff too so all I remember is that my total wasn't too bad. It's within the normal ballpark for good ammo. PM Joe and see if he can give you an exact quote.

The monarch does just fine in my Bushmaster and my Galil. I don't shoot much of it in my AR, I know there are many differing opinions on the matter, but I don't like putting a steel case in that gun. I did put 100 rounds through it, just to see, and it worked like a champ. Until i can't afford it anymore, I'll stick to reloading brass cases for the AR and put the steel through the galil.

I have used the Monarch in my AR and it works great.

It is. Both are produced in the Barnul factory. Just so you can check they have a distinctive headstamp. I'll post a pic later on.
