OK. Aside from being a Glock how is the G-43 going to stack up against the very reliable SA XDs9? That's one purchase I hadn't thought I'd make but am glad to have done so. Now as to the purchasing of a G-43, Well unless I end up with one in my hands with a screaming deal I can't say no to I think I'll wait about a year. Based upon past history there's going to be some little irks crop up in the newest models release.

I'm not as kind as you, HP. I'm just waiting for all the Glockaholics to lose their minds and sell their Shields stoopid cheap so I can pick up a few more. It seems Shields are just about selling for new money on the used market now. I'm looking forward to picking some up maybe around the $275 mark.

I'm talking about the pics of the 43...

I can read, Mikey :). Those are first runs of a closely guarded secret. It's a product specifically for the US market.

Saw "blue label" Shields at 299.99 several weeks ago in Clarksville.  Standard "blue label" price is 329.99.

If I could buy at that price, I'd be tempted for another one.

I'll most likely end up with a 43, I kind of like the size... just had my name added to the list at my LGS.

I'm just hoping maybe I can find one of the rabid Glock-o-philes that wants to sell one of his 37 Glock 19s at a decent price to buy one of the first of these on Gunbroker for over a grand.

I wouldn't mind having a G19 again.   :pleased:

Thanks for the size comparison shot. The 42 is too big for me to pocket carry (grip is too long) which would be the only reason I'd pick up a 43. I bought a Sig P938 last year anyway, so I wasn't going to get rid of it unless the Glock 43 did something better than it anyway.

After seeing the comparison I'm really not that impressed but I will try and reserve judgement until I can actually get one in my hands.

I love my Glock, but if this causes the S&W Shield drop to around $250 slightly used, this guy will buy a couple Shields and grin like a possum!!

Like several others here, I am greatly looking forward to the G43 simply for the effect it will have to the secondary market for the M&P Shields. I have no interest in owning a Glock but will be looking for the Shields the Glock fans will dumping to buy a G43.

Interesting to see so many Shield fanboys. I'm surprised. Possibly the :poop: iest trigger in a pocket gun available.

True, but then the g43 hasn't been released yet either.

I liked the shield, but grip length was always the dominant trait that printed for me (IWB usually 3-4 o'clock), not so much thickness.  So even the M&P9c printed less despite being double stack since it had a shorter grip than the shield.  The G-26 even better.

Of course who knows, maybe I'll fall in love with the 43 and FIND a niche for it ;)

If this is as good as the kit for the M&P, it's a great trigger.

I actually think my Shield has a better trigger than my Glocks, but M&P's are known for inconsistent triggers one gun to the next.

Ditto Patton. My Shield has a super consistent, short, crisp pull with a surprisingly clean break for a striker fired gun. Bone stock. I'd guess it's right around 6lbs, which is perfect for a carry gun, imho.
