Anybody have any experience with a Yankee Hill Phantom LT 7.62?

So if I ordered from out of state (from someone other than silencer shop) I'm looking at my form 4 wait time + an additional 1-3 months on the form 3. I could save some money ordering it from a couple other places but I don't think its enough to justify the potential 3 additional months of waiting. If I knew it would only be one month I'd have to really think about it but in this case I think I might have more money than patience. Thanks for the help Capbyrd!

Sorry I didn't catch this until late.  Nothing wrong with Silencershop and you at least know you're going to get your item. Sucks though, all it seems they did was guarantee your LGS a hefty transfer fee AND they don't have to do anything for it execept sign the paperwork.. sweet deal, they should do that for all of us.  I do seriously push a lot of what would/should be my business to them b/c of the tax I have to charge.

But I at least feel better to know they have no secret.  Just smoke and mirrors.. no dual filing, no direct filing ...

Y'all we're reall lucky to have vendors like Mike on the forum. He's great to deal with, and threads like this are proof of that.

We're really lucky to have a few vendors who earn their great reputation every day. I'd love to see some of our stores follow their examples.

No worries, after you questioned how they were accomplishing this it really got me thinking and there was just no way unless they had backstage passes. Honestly, I'd have never questioned any part of this process if they hadn't called it an "out of state tax". I just kept hearing that it would take longer for the dealers I talked to, to form 3 one from their distributor and then me form 4 it than it would to order from Silencer Shop and have it transferred to On-Target. This is just not true so now I and anyone who reads this knows. I wouldn't tell anyone not to trade with Silencer Shop but I would suggest going with the lowest price from a reputable dealer. If I had known this I would have just ordered from you since wait time would have been the same.
