It is a 1949 post-war rebuild from the Royal Ordinance Factory - Fazakerley, England (F).  FTR stands for Factory Through Repair.

Cool.  I'd like to add an Enfield to my meager collection.  Has availability of .303 ammo improved?  Last I looked what little was out there was $1/shot.  Perhaps that's the new norm...

Thats about what I paid for my last 100 rounds or so. Not a cheap gun to shoot, but a fun one nonetheless. I love my Enfield, they're a fine example of what craftsmanship used to look like in a different time.

A couple of months ago CTD (yes, those asses) had a supply of surplus Greek HXP at a decent price.  I thought that stuff was all gone but somehow they found some.  I scored a case.  Should last me the rest of forever as much as I shoot mine and will still have a stash of excellent brass if the notion to reload ever strikes.

Thanks for your reply.  I knew there was a lot of guys out there that knew a lot more than me.  I can't wait to get it and shoot it.  Now I have to add another bullet size to my list.

That's pretty high for Prvi.

That's the best I've got locally. No one else really carries it around here.

Gotcha.  The internet is local to me.  I don't fool with LGS' (or those with pick up times) when it comes to ammo, especially something like .303 because Knoxville just sucks when it comes to stuff like that.

You can get a case of it for $385 delivered from sgammo.

Sg ammo is good. I just never buy in bulk unless it's 7.62x39/54r.
