BHP Trigger/Action job?

Anybody have recommendations for someone local to the Nashville area who can do a proper trigger job on a Browning Hi Power? I'm not sure what options are available or useful other than the standard removal of the mag disconnect.

The High Power is a tricky beast to get "right" since the guts are sort of tied together.

Send it to us, we do an awesome action job on them using C&S lockworks and some hand tuning.

The smith at Guns and Leather said he (I also heard good recommendations) can do a good job. Other than that or Coal Creek you are going to be shipping it. Cylinder and Slide, Arizona Response Systems, Heirloom Precision, or Novak. They gonna cost you though.

For a low budget improvement, take out the stupid mag disconnect, get a wide combat trigger, and a spring reduction kit (all from C&S) and your trigger will go from blah to nice. Not custom but nice.

Used to be that all you had to do was remove the mag disconnect and the trigger pull would be pretty nice.I bought one about 7 years ago,removed the disconnect and it did not help one bit. I could not get used to the long reset of the trigger either.

I have 2 hi powers - that mag disconnect is horrible, at best it makes the trigger heavy, at worst it feels like sandpaper.

if you just pull out the mag disconnect though you might want to put an extra power trigger return spring in as it will be weak on the return without the extra push of that disconnector

PS. I just checked with the 'smith I usually use and he says that he does do BHP work (I wasn't sure when I posted before).

His largeness O'Neal explained to me a way he devised to counteract the reset of the BHP.Getting him to do it would be a monumental chore.He just simply does not work on guns anymore.All his equipment is still in the back of the fiberglass business.
