Gunsmith Recommendation for Murfreesboro

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a gunsmith in Murfreesboro.  Need to replace the sights on my CZ 75 P-07.  I know I can go to Terry Walden in Manchester, but wondered if anybody had any experiences with a gunsmith locally in the Boro.

On Target is pretty helpful sometimes. They have changed out sights for me and not charged me.
Their Smith is a pretty good guy also but I can't remember his name. He is just in there a few days a week.

I'm not sure of what they charge but I have seen people carry guns into Outpost to have sights changed and other minor work. There's also a fellow that has a small shop behind his house on the corner of hwy. 96 and Veterans pkwy. I can't remember his name but I do know that he's not open every day so look him up and get his hours if you decide to go to him. He is a gun smith.

That would be Grady Jones, but I'll have to check. He may be officially retired now.

Grady Jones! That's it! I don't know why I can never remember his name. I met Sidewinder over at Grady Jones' place a while back to give him some screws for a scope mount and I still see cars there on certain days do I knew he was still open certain days. Sidewinder did mention that Grady doesn't take on big gun smith work much anymore but said he still does small stuff.

Thanks guys.  I probably should just try to install them myself, but I am about as good at basic gunsmithing as I am at plumbing.  I can start the job but will probably still end calling a professional to fix my mess!!!  I keep thinking, I put my AR together, how hard can it be to install sights??? That kind of thinking usually turns out bad for me!!

Luke, his name is Grady Jones and his business name is the Collection Connection. His store hours are 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. Mon, Wed, and Friday. His past reputation as a gunsmith, has been one of the best in the country. However, he has scaled back his gunsmithing in recent years, so a phone call might be in order, concerning any gunsmithing needs. He sells guns, ammo, and reloading supplies...and shares his knowledge about guns freely. He can also order parts. I've known him for over 30 years and think very highly of him. Drop in and check out what he has to offer. The prices marked, are his out the door price.
