I've been looking for a Model 66 in good condition, and have found a 66-2 4" on another forum.

What is the value of this type revolver in very good condition, it looks in photos as if it as been polished?

The owner said it was produced in 1983 and has been fired very little.

My used gun value book is a 2011 edition, so not up to date on current revolver values.

Includes gun/box/cleaning kit, but S&W box has no label on flap in photos.

Is gun worth:

$400-$450

$450-$500

$500-550

$550-600

>$600

It’s been polished. It’s hard to tell from those pics but it looks like it has scratches on the right side; might just be the lighting.
Other than that it appears to be in excellent condition. I would say if it was put up here it would bring $500 in a day, $600 in a few days, $700 if it was a 2.5” biggrin.gif

One of the best firearms ever made.

Target trigger and hammer. The grips alone are worth a nice piece of change.

Yeah, I would say it is a $550 gun. Add another 25-50 for the original box.
