Let the panic begin

I have been planning on buying a new AK from Aim Surplus for a while now. Did a side job last week and made enough cash to pay for one, so I called today to place the order. The guy on the phone said that he had just sold out like 20 minutes before I called. He said that they were swamped today because everyone was "panic buying AK's".

What's funny is last week I called to inquire about the gun, and see if they had them in stock. They said "Oh sure, we got a lot of them".

Today they said they weren't sure when they would be getting any new ones in, and any that they got would be to fill backorders.

Just my luck. Anyone know where I can get an inexpensive AK near Knoxville?

Well, that is funny. I called them Monday afternoon, and for about the fourth time in a row I got the exact same answer: "No we don't have any AK's, but there is a gun show this weekend, that's where you should go".

I don't know what it is with the guy who answers the phone there. It's always the same person. Either he doesn't want to sell me a gun, or he is clueless to their inventory.

EDIT: Still several good ones on GunBroker. Just order one and have it sent to your FFL. I really don't see the market getting flooded with anymore, so that might be your only choice.
