The SIG mosquito was the 1st gun i ever shot thanks to Halfpint. I was just curious to see what everyones opinion is on them. The one i shot was all black but thanks to Joe and Hero-Gear this is the one i want.....

my wife owns one. they're neat little pistols and a great first pistol!

sadly, my wife progressed quite quickly and now the mosquito stays in the gun rack and she doesn't shoot it much because it's so light and she's used to the weight of a heavier pistol.

one good reason for you to start with a .22 pistol is that they are more prone to show flaws in shooting technique because they're light and easy to shoot, thus making it easier to train away the bad habits.

I did find that mine didn't like to eat remington ammo. that's ok.. there's no telling what ammo a .22 will like..try them all and then enjoy your firearm!

an excellent first pistol!

They are pricey little .22s, but good guns from all I have seen. Like TC said, EXCELLENT training guns. My wife started out on a P22 and that was great, too. If cost isn't a big deal, go for the Sig! Plus, it's PINK!

Ya.. I know its PINK... one of my fav colors but i do believe u can take the color a lil too far.. i like it cause its not the peptobismal pink... since its gonna b a fun range gun i dont mind the pink and actually want the pink on it but i prefer black or stainless better for anything else i get..

Can't go wrong with a Sig, no matter the caliber, so long as the price isn't a concern.

Might want to get your eyes checked before you go shooting again.

Oh dude why did you have to do that?! :)

You're just not right, Kris . . .

Kel, remind me to show you a certain pic of him whenever I see you.

The picture doent show it, but there is a big difference in the two colors. Something about the lighting or background in the hero gear pic, but it is not Pepto pink, actually several shades darker.

Will try to add pics to this thread to show the difference

In all honesty, I know this. It was purely humor, thus the winking smiley.

Apparently one too many people around here have been beaten with the literal stick and can't sense sarcasm or humor. Sad day.

Last time the wife and I went shooting I let her try my Mosquito out. She put one mag through it handed it back and said "You can keep it, I don't like it. There's NOT ENOUGH RECOIL" :P:P

Bottom line: Sig makes good guns. The mosquito is a good model, when desiring a .22 handgun, albeit pricey. Color? Depends purely on personal preference.
