Just wondering if some States are getting more than others? One week down for two weeks in Erie. So I had occaision to stop at Walmart to pick up a few things so I go through the sporting goods department and the literally have boxes and boxes of 22lr 325 rounds of Federal Automatch for about $18 a box. I have not seen them in Tennessee at all. The guy behind the counter said they always have them in stock.

Just seems kind of odd.

Maybe Tennessee just has more scumbag resellers.

Well I have sold a few boxes since I have been here. But just for what I paid for them. Was not really a profitable venture not like I got rich from selling 3 bricks for $45.00. I can say the weather stinks here though.

Ain't nothing wrong with that.  These guys that buy every last box on the shelf and sell them for three times what they paid for them need a swift kick in the nuts though.

Technically I tried to give them away have a friend whose son was missing shooting his 22. So I offered up a few bricks and he insisted on paying for them. needless to say I picked up three boxes here and will be sending them his way. Edited by wcd

That's awesome, we need more people doing that.  I wouldn't feel bad about buying more than I needed if I found it and passing it along to TGOers and other good folks for what I gave for it.

About two weeks ago I sold 3- 4' flouresent shop lights, used in working order with bulbs to this guy in pegram I never met before. I was asking $15 each and he agreed on the phone but before he came over I researched some more on them and since they were not the decorative lights I went down on the price, $30 for all 3. I found you can get them new for around $18 each. I guess I assume everyone is a decent person unless I learn something about them later and I just can't profiet off someone. It would do me no good to buy .22 in bulk for re-sale because I would probably re-sale it for retail and wind up loosing money for time spent and gas. I vow to never buy .22 from a re-saler at a ridiculous price, I wish others would stop buying from them but that's a pipe dream.

Thanks WCD for your act, you know true character is what a man does when nobody is watching. I have traded with buddies for 22 and the only 22 I have seen for sale at a reasonable price I bought and sold at same price to a bud. I have only found it that one time reasonably priced btw, and that was in south Alabama in 2012 and the clerk said it was the first that store had received since all the crap hit the fan.

I refuse to buy from resellers at anything over retail. I don't need to shoot a .22 that much. Don't sell .22 at gouger prices, it's for the children.

Well I picked up 3 boxes tonight and there were still quite a few boxes on the shelf. I almost felt bad about buying something I don't need but for a little more than $45 my friends son can just about shoot for a good part of the summer. Besides its not like those who were just getting interested in shooting in the past few years had any chance to slowly build their stock over time.
