Say Obama does win and say he passes gun bans and what knot. What happens?

By God I will not give up mine but is this some deal where the government goes door to door confiscating them? Would they actually be allowed in your home to "search"? I've heard from some that the government doesn't know what guns you own, how in the heck is that possible, you have to register them if you get them from a shop or a dealer at a gun show, you fill out paperwork so how would they not know?

Opinions??

You do not "register" them when you buy them...the background check is done on you, the serial number is entered as well to make sure the gun isnt reported stolen or used in a crime...they destry the records in 24 hours.

if they knock..."I sold that gun a while back"

If there are door to door searches you can bet your sweet bippy that the government has taken care of that unlawful search and seizure. They will come to your house with a warrant looking for the guns purchased on form 4473 from Joe's Gun Shop. You will comply or be arrested for obstruction. Sold them off? OK Fine, we will just look around and if we find evidence to the contrary - off to jail.

Again this is absolute WORST case scenario and one that is not likely to happen because even southern democrats like guns. Maybe not to carry but to own.

Worst case scenario is...well, lets just say I know a number of folks (mostly vietnam vets) who are just beyond the point of caring, and have straight up told me, they will go down shooting before they give them up. And these boys are not people I would want shooting at me by any stretch of the imagination.

I am not sure they would go around collecting guns. I believe they would make it almost impossible to buy a weapon with the exception of bolt or lever action hunting rifles. He will also tax the hell out of ammo and reloading supplies.

The Government CAN and WILL do whatever it wants to do! A few of us may protest and stand up to the law, but shoot someone...I think not. Maybe one or 2 will but we all won't. They have hi-tech stuff that they already outlawed to US. If the Government wants it they will get it....Sorry to say
