I'd rather shoot in the cold, at least I can layer up and keep warm by moving.  In the summer I just melt away and get burned.  Plus I bet there were a lot less people out there, and that always makes shooting more enjoyable.

"17deg function check?" ... √

Yes I wanted to see how my side charger worked cold in addition to all the other wizardry on this rifle. Had a few shells hang on the UTG shell bag but my frozen ass was popping it at 500 yards. Was using Italian gun grease tac lube on the inner stuff w a light film on a portion of the bolt. Everything was foxtrot papa except me, cold and stooooopid. Lol the gloves were a must....
I was in a bad mood this am hence my idea to sling frozen lead... Edited by Dustbuster

Great test. I know sometimes the gun greases/oils we use will get mighty stiff in cold temps. I have seen 1911's that you could literally watch the slide go back and forth. But you can always warm your hands on the barrel shroud!!
