I'm kinda short on cash for the moment but have a massive tooth ache absolutely killing me and no dental insurance.

I've got $200 max right now cash but I can Barter with a firearm or ammo.

Several years ago I took the 91/30 out for some action.  On the way home I felt a pain in my jaw.  Overnight it got way worse.  Called Dr. Szell the next day.  Seems I broke a tooth from recoil and cheek weld.  Shooting that afternoon ended up costing me about $1500 buck out of pocket with insurance.

Dr. Dash in Madisonville is competent, but he hums while he works. Drove me crazy!

Doc. Davidson lives in Vonore, but his office is in Athens.  I hear he is an avid outdoors person which sometimes equates to a gun hobby too.  I have heard he barters from time to time.   He is just back from a remote medical, and he does lots of over sea missions.  Davidson Dental, Athens:  (423) 745-8363.  With the weather the way it is this week, I am sure they have openings and have an extra incentive to see patients.

I had a tooth pulled, x-rays, exam and prescription for like $120. Just had some more work done, two fillings, more x-rays, another prescription and it was $230 out the door.

 

He is in Sevierville, about 4 miles off of 40.

My wife said the Monroe County health department on 68 just before Madisonville, if coming from Sweetwater, offers dental services on a sliding scale. Starts at $20. Several of her clients use them and are very happy.

First Baptist Church,Morristown has a dental clinic they operate on a sliding scale payment plan. Not sure about income requirements or days it's open. Maybe give the church office a call if you can't get in anywhere soon.

Ok update, I finally got a check in the mail to pay me back for roof work so I'm at $400 cash would should cover it but I've been to Sweetwater, Athens, loudon and lenoir city now and can't find anyone open yet.

a lot of dentists are closed on Friday, they work long hours so I'm guessing most of them just do 4 day weeks.

Any idea what the problem is? I've gotten enough relief to sleep with a temporary filling kit and some benzocaine on several occasions. Not perfect, but could be a better option than the pliers.

Tooth pain is the most excruciating pain I've ever experienced. There's no way I'd go all weekend with that. Maybe go to a clinic and get some painkillers to survive on. The only time I've ever taken hard-core pain meds was for tooth pain.

Can't help with the dentist. I grew up in Tellico Plains. We always went to Athens or Maryville to the dentist. I have bartered guns for service with the dentist I see now, but I don't know if he'd do the same for anyone. I knew him before he was my dentist.

There is Stinsens in Jeff city they take walkins and just charge $60 to pull a nonwisdom tooth they use to be open on Saturday from 8am till noon but be there when they open or expect a LONG wait (not sure if the name spelled right)
