Hi folks.  I'm looking for my first EDC knife.  Max. 3".  Folder.  Right handed.   Clip wanted.  Under $100.00.  I do some hiking and camping.   I was leaning towards Kershaw Leek 1660.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

The Leek is a good choice.

Take a look at the Benchmade Mini Griptilian as well. The little Axis lock folder is about as tough as they come in that price range.

I just did and it's now taken the top spot in my decision-making process.  Thanks for the input.

If the OP is willing to go a little over the $100 mark, in addition to the ZT 0350, I would also recommend the Spyderco Paramilitary 2, even though they don't seem to be as readily available as the 0350.

EDIT: Sorry, in my zeal I failed to notice that the PM2 is over your blade length requirement.

The 0350 is as well, but only by 1/4". I take it you don't live in TN and can't have one over 3", correct?

One of my first knives was a Mini Griptilian.  It's a good basic knife but I would pay a few dollars more and get an assisted opening knife such as the Zero Tolerance 0350.

Daryl,

If your budget only allows $100.00 I will sell you a ZT0350 in excellent condition for that, I only carry autos these days, so if you are interested PM me

Daryl,

You should jump on this...

I carry a Kershaw Cryo.  I got it for something like $18 off amazon.  Flipper, assisted opening, moveable clip, holds a razor edge... I'm quite happy with it.  That said, the ZT350 is an excellent knife and willis will do you right.

I carry a Mini Griptillian, it's a great working knife but if you can, jump on Willis' deal. From all I've heard, the zero tolerance knives are truly a cut above.

Also, Zero Tolerance is Kershaw's higher end tactical line.

i'll 5th or 6th the zt350 as a great knife. I carry one when i go to states where i cant carry an auto. i use it for everthing and is no worse off for wear. The s30v steel does take some time to resharpen but holds a razors edge for a long time.

Great offer, and I'm much obliged, but I frequently travel to states with restrictions, and so I want to stay under 3".

Decision made, order placed.   When she arrives in a few days, I'll post a pic.  Thanks to all.
