In Russia you can not get car insurance unless you have a dash cam.

 

Supposedly, because the place is so corrupt and with the right amount of influence and money, you can change anyone's story

 

Hold on to your seats for the ride of your life!!!

That makes sense given the amount of dashcam footage from Russia that is on the Internet.

Maybe I'm wrong on this, but I understood that it's a pretty common practice throughout Western Europe.

I've heard a few rumors about agencies in this country looking at it as well.

Right up there with Progressives little device that attaches to your car's computer and records Everything about your driving from the time you start the engine until you park.

Dash cams are already being developed as optional and possibly standard equipment on new vehicles. Supposedly a safety standard in the near future.

Living in Orlando is similar but not quite that bad. If it were not for a grassy median I would have totaled my car on I-4 today. It was partially my fault and having cheap tires. I locked up all 4 and knew I wasn't going to stop in time. Thank god for my quick reflexes as I took to the muddy grass. That's happened twice since I've been down here. Even if you leave a safe distance someone will just cut in front of you and lock up your brakes. It's insane.
