About as much as it was worth on November 3rd. ;)

You aren't going to see any sort of increase in value until after another AWB is passed.

That's kind of what I was getting at. After the ban, how much will it be worth?

Yeah, any attempt at an AWB isn't going to be for a long while. Obamas main priorities are redistributing wealth to "help" the economy and surrendering in Iraq. Both of which are probably going to take a little while. I really don't understand the mass "hysteria" among gun owners in relation to Obama getting elected. Is he going to try and revive the AWB? Probably. But not for a while.

I would guess $0 since you probably wont be able to sell it (legally of course).

So, it won't be like full-auto's are now? They are going for crazy high prices. A ban by Obama would make those $20,000 full auto's worth far less than they are selling for now?

Well I wouldn't know really. I was too young to know anything about the previous AWB, but from what I've heard, the future AWB will be 100x worse, so I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't sell them at all.

That's kind of like asking what the weather is going to be like at noon on January 21st. Who knows???

Frankly I don't think that the rifles will be worth that much more than they are right now. The reason I think that is because people are more savvy to what the government can and might do this time around. The last AWB sort of caught folks off guard and gun enthusiasts / patriots / whatever you want to call them didn't realize how much they'd want those rifles afterward.

This time, people are smarter. More or less. We're already seeing people hoard magazines, lowers, uppers, downers, siders, flippers, floppers, etc. It's going to take a while before a post-ban buying wave turns into a seller's market.

Just my $0.02 worth.

If you're buying to sell, you may be sitting on your stuff for a while.

That depends on how the ban is worded.

Could be 2 to 4 grand or 10 to 30 years depending on the ban.

I hate that mine sank with my friends boating accident.

I more concerned with an ammo tax than weapon ban. Lots of weapons out there and how long would it take to wear them out, but how long would your ammo stash last with a dollar a bullet tax on new stuff?-----MP
