I use to work with a guy at Wolf Tree that would take all the worn out flat files home and make awesome knives out of them. I always wanted to give it a try but never got around to it, now that I can.t work anymore I might give this a try, can you suggest any good research sites to read to get started?

Search on you tube for making a knife out of a file. There's a bunch and from there you'll find even more.

Bladeforums, read the stickies in the knife making section, there's on specifically for file knives. Then post a thread with your specific questions. You'll get flamed if you just ask how to make a knife from a file, lol.
