IDPA at Gallatin gun this weekend Feb. 14th

Gallatin Gun Club will host their regular IDPA match this weekend (2/14/15). 75 rounds, 4 stages. 2 field courses and 2 standards stages. We will have the new IDPA gun divisions open for this match for those wishing to get a feel for the new divisions. The new divisions are CCP, campact carry pistol, 4.1 inch barrel length, 125 power factor. (Glock 19) limited to 8 rounds in the mag + one in the chamber. Open to any trigger type, single action, double action, safe action. Primary the ESP rules with a short barrel and 8 rounds in the mag.

BUG (Back Up Gun). 3.6 inch max barell length. 6 rounds max in the gun,(this is one more than allowed in the past). 95 power factor with .380 as min. ammo size. Shooter will start from a holster for this match and 3 spare magazines with 6 rounds each will be allowed on their belt. Auto loaders and Revolvers allowed in BUG. BUG will be a open to all Tier 1 matches (local) after March 1st. and Tier 2-5 matches after June 1st. BUG will be a standard division, just like the big guns with offical classifications.

 

CCP and BUG will go into effect on March 1st with the new rule changes. We will allow them this weekend to help folks sort out equipement issues before the effective date.

March 14 we will have a classifer match including the new divisions (CCP & BUG) and revamped REV division.

You know you need them. Anyway, it will help me get use to the CCP and BUG gun I plan on using this year. G19 & G26

You can't shoot those gun yet, it's not time. They won't have the right amount of dust in them when the GSSF match comes around.

Well so much for me shooting my everyday carry in CCP.....  :cry:

 

- Colt 1911 LT WT Commander with 4.25 barrel.

 

- S&W Model 37 Airweight with 5 rounds.

 

Reckon I could go Rule 8.2.7. Not For Competition - - - That is if the MD allows such.  :whistle:

Just saw .150 off the end of the barrel. Really do I have to think of everything!

No Way!!!  :slap:

 

That is what a Dremel is made for.  Bet I can even free-hand a new crown on the muzzle while I grind that .150 off!
