Vaping (outdoor worthy)

So have any of you guys cut out the old cigs and moved to vaping yet? What mods, attys and juice do you use? Do you know of any mods that are VV or VW that are outdoor worthy? Like drop resistant, waterproof etc. I ask here because most of the vaping forums are city slickers that don't get outdoors that much. lol

Right now I'm rocking an iPV2 50W with a Plume Veil atty and my favorite juices are from Pitbull. It is none of the things I'm looking for but works great for the indoor/city life.

Almost everyone at work "vapes".  I ditched dip and now they want to convert me over. Not happening. It also gets obnoxious. So be considerate where you vape. Sure it doesnt smell as bad as cigarettes, but its not fun to keep walking into a damn cloud of smoke.

For sure. The obnoxious people, similar to the AR open carry guys, can do it but is hurting the rest of us.

I'm mostly looking for something to take hunting, fishing, camping etc.

I did and use a Tesla mod with an aspire 5ml tank. My favorite juice is triple mint and ice beard. I Vape 3mg of nicotine. Not bad for someone who smoked cig's for almost 45 years. In May of this year it will be one year not smoking cig's.

I have a VUSE vapor thing.   It has disposable cartridges and looks like a long stainless steel cigarette.  I have only bought a refill pack one time.   It comes with a USB connector for recharging.

I only use it when driving if I feel a nicotine craving.   No smoking in the truck ever.  It did seem helpful when I took a road trip last weekend.  I was not jonesing for a smoke anyway.

I mostly think the vapor thing is stupid.  To each their own but I see people wearing these ridiculous looking apparatus on a lanyard around their necks.  It does not look like someone I want to be.

I also wonder what long term affects are going to emerge for people who use it like there is no tomorrow.

But to stay on topic I think it would work well outdoors.  It seems to be unaffected by wind and snapping another cartridge on it is a two second operation.

A couple of months of vaping and I quit smoking after 20 years. That was over a year ago.

I used it as a tool to get where I wanted to go, not a replacement habit. I have a lot of friends that 'gave up' smoking to start vaping. And are still vaping high level nicotine several years later.

Yeah the ones like the Vuse and the lanyards are beginner's items. They are somewhat durable but only because of how simple they are. VV and VW devices actually have microchips in them though for controlling (VV) variable voltage and (VW) variable wattages. A few beginner pieces like the eGo C-Twist have VV from like 3.6-4.2v. But like my box mod can go from 3.6-8.2v as long as it falls between 7-50 watts and 0.3-3.0 ohms.

As for the long term health effects it absolutely has to be better than cigarettes. The only studies that have come out to say it contains bad stuff fall into one of two categories:

1. Not as safe as people think. Saying there are still bad things in it and burying the information that there are only 1% of the toxins and free radicals of analogs. Or,
2. Saying they contain things like formaldehyde but then doing something something stupid in the test like using cheap tanks with high wattage boxes and more than likely burning the wicking material instead of just making steam with the juice.

Here is a good example of that first bit.

They even say several times that it is a 99% reduction in health risk but still want to cause a panic. The whole pneumonia part really got me. 2/10 mice died when purposefully infected. Well considering 10% is the average fatality rate and the small sample size, that is within the margin of error. Lastly was how much they made them vape. Every 10 seconds for 3 hours a day (2x 1.5 hours). I don't anyone that could stand to vape that much.

Me personally though. I feel there may be some health risks but not as bad as analogs. I'm also down to the 6mg solution and using about 2-3 ml a day. That is equivalent to a little less than a half pack of analogs. So the one thing we know for sure is toxic I have cut way down on.

Anyway, sorry about ranting. I'll let this run it's course. Just thought there might be some country vapers here. Country life FTW!
