Not a lot of load data out there. Have some 231 and wanting to load 147gr coated to ~130pf. Nothing in most manuals I've seen for 231 or hp38 and 147s. Wasn't easy to find but best starting point I could come up with is 3.2gr and 1.125 oal. Anybody have anything?

My Lee's Modern Reloading manual shows 147 grain lead start load of 3.3 and top load of 3.5. Lyman's 49th shows only a 147 gr TMJ with 231 loads at 3.5 start and 4.1 do not exceed.

You indicate your loading coated bullets.  One of the companies that sells Hi-Tek coated bullets told me to use the starting lead number and work up.  I have loaded some 115 grain coated and due to the shape of the bullet, I've had to seat mine a little deeper than the minimum recommended depth, so I've backed off the starting number some and still had good results shooting them in my Glock 17.
