1902 American Eagle DWM represented in a reproduction agent's box.. Two very orignal and very excellent condition magazines. Gun is #300 ser# range off of US trial guns (on the low end).

This gun was restored by me and represented as so. I sold it in 2004. It resold at auction in 2005 as orginal for about 10x my price. When the buyer looked under the left grip he'd see three dots in a triangular shape. Thor's Strawing Service mark - the man that did this exceptional restoration on consignment.

Normally, I do not condone restoration, but prefer instead repair and preservation. In this case, this gun was "ruined", but an extremely rare and worthy example for restoration.

Luger's were my first focus when I started collecting and at one time I had a fairly respectable collection of them. I then moved onto P38s, and then Mauser 98s. These made up the bulk of my collection when financial and focal matters shifted in 2004.

Now, I just buy what I am not affraid to ruin the value by shooting...

Looks like a junky old army gun.....I'd pay 100 bucks for it ;)

I sold it for $1,250... it went for auction at a certain unnamed auction house in San Fran for 10X that.

My old Junky Army guns seem to get way more by the people that sell them than for what I've sold them to...

And that might include a couple old junky army guns I've sold to you, my friend.

And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Your kids will appreciate such things one of these days. Just wish I could afford to collect a few like G is showing us today!

Thanks for sharing, G. I look forward to more!
