Hi All,

My name is bill obviously and am looking forward to reading and finding out alot of information in these forums. I am looking to purchase my first handgun and have been looking at several. In particular

Sig P6

Sig P226

Sig P228

CZ 86

I've been doing lots of reading with lots more to go, but any quick suggestions would be nice.

I would like a reliable, fairly affordable, 9mm, and preferrably high capacity magazine hand gun for carry. I am interested in 9mm, but I'm really unsure about all the makes, models, and ammunition types.

I've been researching the P6 as of lately due to the $300 price tag I've seen and due to some other forums I've been reading. The P226 'Certified Pre Owned' weapons look nice as well, but the price of around $550+ may be a little out of my price range.

Hints, Tips, Suggestions are all welcome. THANKS FOR HAVING ME!

Welcome.

In the $540 range, the CZ RAMI 9mm would fit your needs perfectly. Very reliable, 9mm with a 10+1 capacity, excellent concealability. It's funny cuz a few of us were just discussing the RAMI in another thread. IMO, it's the best sub-compact 9mm out there... and is widely accepted as such by firearms enthusiasts. You can do a Google search and see that for yourself.

Here's the mfg info though:

Hello there :D

Sigs are great firearms, but the capacity will be limited in the p6 225.It only holds 8 rounds.

I think the 226,and 228 holds 15 or 16 rounds.

The p6's do have an awfully great price tag though!

If you choose it,you'd better hurry, they'll be dried up before to long!

Best bet would be to go ahead and get one :P

Howdy Bill and Welcome to TGO

The handgun will have to fit you and feel good in hand. See if you can try some, shoot them if possible and asking for opimioms does help somewhat.

There are many good firearms out there in your price range but may be used.

Good luck in your search.
