Definitely hiding in the basement. So far the lack of porch light seems to have deterred everyone, although I did hear some kid ring the doorbell about 300 times and bang on the door prior to sunset.

My wife actually works at haunted theme parks every year. Worked Busch Gardens, when we were in Virginia... and is working the Todd Ferren scream park, this year, up in KY. She's been punched, slapped, and kicked many times. Some were accidents, out of reaction to being scared. However, some people are just *******s and go through there with the sole intention of being a hardass. So take that into consideration and do what you want... but long gone are the days of innocent pranks and society just laughing it off.

True story. I've had a few people physically removed from both BG and TF for purposely hitting. I usually just brush it off and move on if I can tell it's an accident. Actually got ACCIDENTALLY upper-cut in the chin last year at BG. I wanna know who the **** upper-cuts when they're scared?! GAH!

I spent all day at work dressed as Supergirl and then I came home and got my kiddos dressed. I took them to Best Buy and all through the mall where they got MASSIVE loot. Then I took them by a couple of friends' houses. I also took them to Taco John's cuz they had "kids in costumes eat free" so I got them their tacos and called it a night. We were out for almost 3 hours. They got massive amounts of good candy (not that crappy cheap kind people used to hand out when *I* was a kid) and have now crashed hardcore.

I took the night off from the haunted house because working all day + trick-or-treating kids = beyond rough day.

I can't help it though... I love Halloween! Hence working at the Haunted Houses around here. It's just too fun! ;)
