NRA Ballot

Ashamed to say I never kept up too much with who is who when it came to the NRA elections. It's not all that easy to find out information on every person running, it's not like they are in the media that much, couldn't trust what the media says anyways.

John Milius, the screenwriter and film director, deserves a vote.

Edie P. Fleeman is a former womens smallbore prone national champion and a strong advocate for teaching women to shoot and for teaching gun safety in the classroom.  And she's from my former home state of NC.

I'll vote for Steve Hornady and Robert Nosler just because I've fired so many of their bullets over the years.

Not a fan of Robert K. Brown either.

Cheers,

Thread on AR15.com has more info on Timothy Knight.

Short take on John K Brown: head of NFATCA (machine guns for me but not for thee) and alleged ATF snitch.

No relation to Robert K Brown of Soldier of Fortune magazine.

Very helpful.  I'll vote for Knight and against both Browns.

Thanks,

Whisper

For what it is worth, along with Knight and Maloney, SOF endorses the following current BOD members for reelection: Scott Bach, Ronnie Barrett, David Coy, Joseph De- Bergalis, Antonio Hernandez, David Keene, Wayne Anthony Ross, Don Saba, William Satterfield, Ronald Schmeits, Robert Unkovic and Robert Viden.

So why does the NRA have politicians fill out surveys on where they stand, but not people running for the board? I want to know where people stand on constutional carry, repealing the NFA, etc. As a life member I am sick of people who are just interested in keeping guns for hunting or sporting purposes.

It seems the main function of the NRA is to continually ask for more money.  Until I see some results I'm not likely to send any.

And Knight is moving to TN (Chattanooga) in June, 2015 and glad of it thank you very much. I look forward to meeting many of you in person.

Follow up on thread, per SSI:

ATF snitch John Brown was badly defeated in his election bid to become a member of the NRA national board of directors. I knew that several days ago, but had to wait for the official results. I'd like to think that Sipsey Street and the Coalition of Willing Lilliputians had more than a little to do that.

Haven't heard about Norquist yet.

Norquist reelected:

I can't find a printed list of whole new board makeup. In vid, he seems to announce all the new and re-elected members, but guess I'm confused about how many we voted for (25 I believe) compared to how many were actually to be elected. Or something.
