I'm considering rebarreling/rechambering my M1 to 308/7.62. I was hoping someone might be able to direct to someone local that can give me advice/do the work that has a good reputation with this rifle type.

I see a web page for Deans Gun Restorations in Jacksboro Tn, and have seen recomendations on CMP forums. I have been considering having mine rebarreled for some time.

I wonder if anyone has had any experience with this shop.

Does anybody have any info or recommendations on this shop, I am interested in using them if I can get a good feeling about them.

Ronnie Morris is an M-14 smith in Nashville.  When I was at his shop, i'd swear there was a multitude of other different actions laying around.  I see no reason he couldn't do that work.  He certainly has all the tools required.
