Read about it a few weeks ago on Sig forums.  Hopefully it will be on the shelves in the next 5 years knowing how Sig is.

Well, I carried a P220 DA/SA on the PD in 1989 for a very short while because I hated the transition. Is the SAO very good? I've been entertaining the idea of a 10mm for a while now.

I guess you would still have a magazine problem though. Admittedly the P 227 in Da/SA is what I really want.

It will be single stack just like the .45acp version and the .45 is 8+1 so I'm guessing either 9+1 or possibly 10+1.

Well that's really the thing, isn't it.  LDD (the admin on SIGForum) posted his thoughts after shooting one at SHOT this week and showed primer marks on the spent casings that show it's dragging the firing pin as it ejects the casing.  Which means it's ejecting FAST.  The timing between the slide actuation, ejector actuation and magazine follower spring, have got to be set up to keep the gun reliable and reduce as much stress on the frame as possible.  Full-house 10mm loads are brutal on a handgun's mechanicals.

I really like it...but giving up 15 rounds in a G20 seems like too much of a stretch to trade my glock in for one.

Ideally, SIG releases a 10MM P227 (SAO, 5" since I'm just wishing anyway).  Then I can swap top ends between that and the P220 I already have.  :up:

Depending on how they stacked, a p227 mag might be able to fit 15 rounds in it

I like my 220 a lot even though I don't shoot it enough. I also like my g29 and no, I dont shoot it enough either.

I'm also loving the new MPX

If sig made a MPX in 10mm with an 8" barrel in a SBR configuration I would run over my grandmother and all the other grandmothers to be the first in line...

Really like the 10mm 220. I'm going to give them a year or so to work the kinks out then pick one up. You'll know when you see a low mileage g29 for sale.
