Foster, 43, was taken into custody and charged with battery.

I guess if you are going to play Superman you need to know the ground rules.

Both individuals were detained until deputies arrived on scene.

who at Walmart has the legal right to detain anyone?

who at Walmart has the legal right to detain anyone?

Anyone, including you if you happen to be standing there when a crime is committed.

The sheep probably thought he was saving the day because after all, a freakshow with intent to cause harm is going to do it at walmart with the use of a quality holster.

Foster getting shot in self defense probably wouldn't help our cause at all but I sure wouldn't mind if the outcome of this resulted in him spitting some teeth out.

Someone needs a little situational awareness bump.  I'd hope my spidy senses would kick in if some nut job was following me.

What if he was an off duty cop? This guy clearly lacks the ability to have a rational thought.

I've often thought there is a chance of having the "man with gun" called in to police. But that's not hard to deal with. This brings it to another level.

I like this line of thinking.
Aside from being armed with a handgun, a bit of Brazilian Jujitsu would have been sweet. Maybe a broken nose and lacerations to the forehead due to elbow strikes followed by a rear naked choke that puts the dipsht to sleep.

Wonder how the media would spin a guy getting attacked and defending himself but never upholstering his weapon? Edited by Caster

I wonder what its like living in their world.  :squint:

Is anyone really surprised.

The whole point of government these days is to scare us to the point where we'll accept anything to be safe.

And the "news" media is completely in collusion with this.

Scare the sheep and round them up.

Except Superman has a liitle more respect for his elders; this 43 year old vigilante tackled a 62 year old from behind and then applied a choke hold.

I'm betting that this moron is a member of Moms Demand Action, and he's read one too many memes on their website.

This is what happens when one tries to play hero without knowing all the facts.

so some guy tackles me at Walmart and Walmart has some right to detain me?

What if I don't want to be detained?

As bad as the story itself is, the comments are worse.

I know this kind of  story brings all the anti gunners to the forefront and allows them the ability and the forum to express their views, but some of these people are

seemingly borderline psycho themselves.

Those comments are some of the most violent and absurd I've ever seen. I know, I should get out more, as these are probably pretty tame, but the stupidity of the average

person never ceases to amaze me. It is unbelievable that we have survived so long when people act like this.

Spewing the vile comments I saw there makes me ashamed of our people.

I bet they all voted for Obama, just knowing he'd protect them 24/7 for the rest of their lives. And all would be good in the fairy forest.

Some folks are just idiots!

Would open carry have prevented this ?

Possibly, FL is one of those states that will hassle you if you print and certainly doesn't allow open carry so even though they have more carry permits issued than any other state the sheep rarely think about how many may be around them every day.

Kind of gives a new meaning to "gun rug"
