Easy Pawn in Clarksville

Today I went into Easy Pawn here in Clarksville for the first time since they expanded their gun counter last month. And they have great selection of semi autos and revolvers. They had a few Star firearms and a few .32 revolvers and a couple of other firearms I've never heard of.

On the 31st they're having a gun showcase from noon to four with plenty more firearms and chances to win prizes. Edited by FortKnox

Yeah, I don't want the rest of mid TN going in my private collection.  They even look through all 400 stores incoming guns to see if they have a gun you request.  I've picked up a couple and a friend of mine has picked up a couple there as well.  If you know guns and what you want you can end up with a very good deal.

I googled it and saw the location, is thier selection better than some of the other pawn shops in the area? and at more resonable prices?

Most of the ones I've seen there look like they dug them out of the river or something, many in poor condition, but they DO have a lot and I'm always glad to see another place around town to browse :)

What I found at this place if you know your guns and bide your time you can pick up something pretty nice depending on what your interests are.  A fella I know got a great deal on a 3-screw Ruger Blackhawk and picked up an old Winchester .44WCF.  I asked them to find me a Beretta 950 BS (Minx) and they found one in very good condition.  If you want gr8smiles type guns at 90yr old widow yard sale prices probably not a place to go.  Some of the guns are priced kind of high IMHO for their condition but if you are a cagey negotiator you might get really lucky.  I sometimes think I need to start wearing them down on one or two S&W revolvers they have. Its a pawn shop in a chain of around 400 stores.

Around Thanksgiving time I got a like new/mint Ruger P95 there with the case , papers and mags for $269 which was great in my opinion. But I went in there a few days ago and saw a used beat-up and scratched up Springfield Armory 1911 for $869  . I asked the guy if that price was correct and he said yes like I was a moron.  It looked like it was dragged behind a truck on a creek gravel road.  So this place is "hit and miss" .

Well, since I am in the market for a Rugger Redhawk in 44Mag I decided to see if something was available.  I must say, the customer base was a little shady, at least that day.  Got out of my truck, walked up to the door and read their "don't bring any loaded guns into the store" sign and turned around and got back into my truck and left.  It may not be a "legal" posting but it made their sentiment quite clear.  And they say its for my safety?

Really? I don't remember seeing that last week. Hell, I was talking to the gun counter guy for 10 minutes and he know I was carrying and he didn't say anything.

I don't like ezpaw but that sign is not about concealed guns or even ones you you open cary. It is for the morons who bring in grand daddy's shot guns and sweep you with it saying it is clear to find it is loaded with number 4 buck. It happens more then you would like to think and after the first time you don't want it to happen again. The policy is "if you bring in a loaded gun please leave it in your holster. Pretty please!"
