NRA Insurance claim?

Does anyone here have knowledge or experience with filing a firearm loss claim using the NRA insurance as managed by Lockton Affinity based in Kansas City?

What proof of ownership is needed when filing? I don't have a claim thankfully but was wondering about any first hand experiences from a claimant's perspective.

I have a firearm or three where I do not possess a receipt. Don't know if that is a potential roadblock if I ever do have a loss.

Any comments are appreciated.

I have not filed a claim, but the link below is a claim from from their website.  It does indicate that a receipt is needed, or statement regarding a gift or inheritance.  However, the policy itself (second link) does not mention it.  So, there certainly could be an issue if you don't have a receipt.  However, I would suggest that you video or photograph each gun and accessory that you have scheduled on the policy.  Do so in a manner that will show the serial number.

Thank you Midtennchip!

I do need to revisit my photo records ( not just firearms).

I will read over those links also.

Much appreciated.

I would think a police report of a missing/stolen firearm would also be helpful.

Good point!

I received my premium request today from Lockton (NRA). Between now and the Due Date, I will get my "ducks in line" based upon this thread's input. Then I will hopefully get something in writing from Lockton that I have in order whatever they might require in the event of any future claim. If not, I might reconsider renewal.

It was a thread (different forum) about "foot dragging" on a claim that sparked my thoughts about this issue.

ps - After replying to DWARREN123, my profile line shows "Airborne". Not the case. It is a glitch. That honor belongs to DWARREN123. Edited by Djay3
