Well Ive attempted to early vote at least 3 times now. Everytime Ive gone its been atleast a 1.5 to 2 hour wait. I thought the purpose of early voting was to save time on election day. I guess Im just gonna have to go on the 4th.

Good luck on getting through any faster on the 4th. Last time, I waited 3 - 4 hrs in line and spent most of the time checking the exit poll results on my PDA. I figured if our forefathers could give their lives fighting against the British, if our soldiers could give their lives fighting in hot spots all over the world, then I could spare 4hrs indoors, out of the rain, in a warm gymnasium waiting for my turn to cast a ballot.

Well I couldnt wait that long this week because I was trying to time it during lunch & what not. Come the 4th I expect to wait & Wont have a issue with it. I just didnt expect the wait to be this long during early voting.

In and out in less than 10 mins

In and out in less than 10 mins

Let the comments begin...

A friend of mine complained about the long lines today and I reminded him that I have seen him wait in line at Six Flags for a roller coaster for two hours, so surely he could wait to vote.

I early voted last Thursday in Sullivan County in and out in about 10 min's.

I went to the Mt Juliet Community Center at least four times on the way to work.

I finally went after work and waited 1.5 hours.

I never realized there were so many senior citizens in Wilson County.

For the record, I was just giving the OP crap because that's what guys do to each other.

Now if he doesn't vote on Nov 4th regardless of how long the line is... :tinfoil:

:)

My wife tried to early vote in Mt. Juliet. She was told the wait was 2.5 hours at that time. We'll both be voting on election day now.

Dragging the wife, at gun point if need be, to the polls on the 4th and voting McCain/Palin.

Just remember to pistol-whip her off premises. You can't take the gun with you onto the polling grounds, but she should be made fully aware that it's waiting for her back in the car and that a beating will ensue if she doesn't vote properly. :tinfoil:

Exactly.

She's free to vote for whoever she wants... as long as it's McCain/Palin.

If she writes in Mark Wahlberg and Talks To Animals as her candidates, I'm smacking her the next time I see you guys. :tinfoil:

Nah, she'll be kept in check.

Now, your son and his pro-Obama fantasies... that needs to be worked out (wall to wall?) before the next election when he can vote.

Counseling has been scheduled. I'm going to show him how wealth re-distribution works by giving 60% of his allowance to his sister for doing absolutely nothing, then I'm going to tax him on 30% of what's left.

The wife and I got to the Mt. Juliet Community Center at 9:08 AM Tuesday morning. I was going into work late after the Titans Game on Monday evening so we figured we would get in and out. NOT. it was 10:05 when we left the building. I wondered if the wait would be as long on the 4th. My regular voting place is Gladeville elementary and If I remember correctly, the polls open at 7:00 am. We decided to go ahead and I am glad it is over. I feel your pain eye but hang in there.

On another note, after being in line for around 50 minutes, I man come in in a wheel chair and proceeded straight to the voting area without waiting in line. Now I don't know his story but saw and elderly woman in a wheel chair earlier about 30 or so people in front of us. She was waiting just like the rest of us. He's in a wheel chair for Gods sake so why couldn't he wait? Other than the color of his skin, he was no different than the old lady. :tinfoil: Afterwards, one of the poll workers walked a guy in mid mid 50's with an awful limp and a cane by to vote. He had already been waiting around a half hour or so to my best recollection, standing the whole time. This guy should have been able to go straight to the front but instead made the attempt to wait like the rest of us, until the poll worker talked him into moving on through. It was painfully obvious we was floundering fast.

Tennessee state law says that anyone with a disability, and visibly pregnant expecting mothers may be moved to the front of the line. I think it's a fair accomodation, but my wife... who is a visibly expecting pregnant mother, stood in line with the rest of us. :tinfoil:

Perfect Tungsten!

A good friend of my daughter who is from a middle class, Christian conservative family told me that if he could vote, he'd vote for Obama because he "wanted to see history made in his lifetime". I almost smacked him. :tinfoil: I am going to pass your recommendation on to his dad, a McCain supporter, next time I see him.

I went to vote in MJ on Tuesday and was met with the same line, so I left. I just hope so many people voted early that the lines are shorter on the 4th, because I will only have about an hour to do it then.

I had no problems with early voting. But then I did it on my way home from work on a Friday night. Nobody wanted to do it on a Friday for some reason I guess.

I assume you are zoned for voting at Lakeview or the church next door. I think they'll be busy on the morning side but I plan to leave work a bit early and hit it before the after work crowd shows.

My zone is at WA Wright school since I am on the south side of Saundersville Rd.
