Good quality standard velocity ammo (1080fps).  Had a brick and it cycled my Ruger Mark III 4" with suppressor just fine.  Just as accurate as CCI Standard Velocity.

Don't know why it says optimized for bolt action.

The CCI has usually been the standard for us 22 plinkers and some of the serious shooters. but as getting CCI or just about any brand with regularity, we are seeing more and more new names and "levels" of quality ammo get into the public eye.

Ely. Aguila to name a few. The Geco is new to me. I haven't run across any, but try it.

I too have noticed this.  Used to you just went and bought a bulk pack of .22, Federal 550 was my favorite flavor.  Now it seems when I find .22 it's a variety that I've never heard of and for whatever reason it is special and priced accordingly so, I just want regular old .22 again.

Yes, I like Federal, and do find the 325 packs very occasionally. I preferred CCI, but I don't seem to get to them before sold out.

A few years back I made a purchase from DLM (David) of 22lr ammo long before he had the bucket and brick sale and they were Scorpion Ammo. Went to the range with my 22 Phoenix's and my 22 Marlin semi auto rifle and the ammo performed flawlessly in all guns and was very accurate. It was not a brand I was familiar but I figured it must be a quality product or David would not be selling it. Turned out to be great ammo.

I've got some Geco .223. Seems like very good stuff, matter of fact specs claim it's about as hot as .223 gets loaded, have no reason to doubt it.

Have also shot RWS in 9mm, and it was fine (although steel jacket bullet), so my take is that so far Switzerland is producing purt good stuff for export.

I might just have to order some of these and test it in all my .bolt action rilfe, Walter P22 and my GSG1911 .22lr

with shipping, looks like 500 rounds come out to .14 cent.  Could probably be better, but gets worse if you don't buy enough to cover the shipping in the math.

250 rounds is about .16 cent a round.  Give or take, not doing exact to the penny total price.

I admit, I still look to find it around .09 or .10 cent.  I am starting to believe those days are gone for a while if they ever come back.

hate to dig up this old thread. But I finally ordered some of this.

Getting it just a hair over .11/round shipped.

considering I haven't brought .22 ammo in over 6 months and I have started shooting up some of mine I need to start considering my options.

I ordered Geco 22 Long Rifle Semi-Auto Ammo 40 Grain.

50 rounds Geco .22 LR Semi-auto 40 Grain

When I get it hopefully by next weekend, I will give you guys a range report on a variety of .22's

I wanted to buy the 5,000 rounds but just couldn't swing it on ammo I am still not certain about.  I have read some good things.

If I like it, I will buy more but going to start with a few  boxes to see.

Geco 22 lr ammo is made by the same company that makes RWS 22 lr ammo.  Good ammo at a lower price over RWS.

I had CCI, both Mini Mag and Quiet 22, for less than this and it sat in an ad for close to a month before I sold it. I had 500 rounds each.

Guess I don't get to the for sale section enough.

I haven't been going crazy looking as I was stocked up before the ammo shortage hit, but recently the need to shoot has had me get into my stash a bit.

Yeah, for the most part I am done with 22's. I have a few guns that I will keep just to keep but I will not be shooting much 22 any more. I can shoot my 300 Blackout, 45 ACP and 9mm cheaper than 22. And I do not have to find certain, subsonic, ammunition to work with my silencers because I will load what ever velocity I need.

BTW, Geco ammunition is good ammunition. About like Wolf Match or CCI SV.
