For Christmas  Santa brought me a new Colt LE6920MP-B.  My first Black Rifle since the Army days.    I've been looking for some Pmags & ammo.  I found some Pmag M3 30R for 10.99 Ea from grabagun. I got an email from PSA today for 1,000 rounds of 5.56 55g for 299 plus shipping.  I don't know how much shipping would be? I really don't want to spend that much on ammo right now.  Suggestions for the best way to purchase bang for the buck ammo and a good price on those Pmags would be be much appreciated.  Thanks

EDIT:  How many Pmags would you suggest I get, besides all I can afford?  lol

shipping on something like a can of ammo should be around $20.  freedommunitions.com is a site to keep an eye out for, they usually run specials like 5% off or free shipping.  right now 1000 of .223 reman is only $279+ shipping

as for extra mags, realistically 3 or 4 is plenty.  you'll get people to tell you to get 10 mags or whatever, but a couple is plenty.

You mean that case of Pmags I have loaded and packed is not necessary? lol

Depends, is your alter ego James Yeager?  :leaving:

I like having a buttload of AR mags ready. I like SHOOTING at the range, not loading mags. I can spend time watching TV at home loading mags any day. I only get to shoot every now and then. Whenever it's range time, I generally just grab 8-12 loaded mags from the mag bag and rock on!

Same with my M&Ps. It's nice that I'm to the point now where I can shoot an IDPA match and not have to reload a mag. :-)

On another note, as a dude who has had an AR blown up by factory reman .223, I'd say it's not worth trying to save $30/thousand and just buy new stuff. Not that that is a fail-safe, but I've bought thousands of rounds of factory new 223 without a hitch. Then, I try to save a buck and buy 200rd of reman and BOOM! Not good odds for me. :/

Hey...I may resemble that remark.

See musicman's post above. He says it best.
