For the same or less you can just snag a new 22/45 LITE with a threaded barrel. I wet that way over the PAC lite after reading about tehe face of the camber peening from our very own Dolomite Supafly. I like mine a lot. Very accurate and a great can host for my Guardian, they are almost the same circumstance so the look is very slick and it runs... like a Ruger rimfire, boringly reliable.

I love my Browning Buckmark Whisper. It seems much more solid than the later Rugers. I have a stainless MK II that I had cut and threaded at 4 1/4". That is a different animal :)

I'm thinking of going this route. Who did you buy your Guardian suppressor from?

I too considered a Pac Lite for my MKII with a pencil barrel. Went to my LGS to inquire about FFL and he said the same thing about the MKIII Lite.

I am the proud owner of a Lite now and it worked out to be cheaper and I don't have spare parts laying around.

The 22/45 has some design issues, all of which that can be fixed including the mag base plate.

Have to throw my 2 cents in as well. I've read too much here and in other forums and articles about the durability of the Pac-Lite. Not dissing the function aspects as they appear to be very good.

But for the cost, and less; you can get a new 22/45 and a bunch of ammo or mags.

I've got a Tactical Solutions barrel on a Buckmark and have been very pleased with it. But I also bought it before so many guns could be had from the factory with threaded barrels. I don't see much sense in swapping barrels when name brand guns can now be had suppressor ready.
