Hey guys, Im trying to fill out a form 4. Im pretty sure I have all the information I need. I need someone with experience to maybe guide me in the right path that way this process will go as smooth as possible. Anyone willing to tackle this lol?

My first question is section 4 of the form 4. It wants to have the manufacturer's name, state, and address listed. Since the weapon Currently is on a Form 1, would that the the transferor's name and address or would It be the company that assembled the rifle originally for the current owner? Does that make sense?

Next question is does the transferor need to sign andything on the form 4? Or can I just fill out the section with his information?

10-4 thank you. The only difference is one the form 4 it ask for the address of the company, the form 1 just wants the companys name city and state, no address. I find that odd.

And I answered my own question, the transferor has to sign the form.

Section 3b.  Applicant's name and address.  The applicant on a Form 1 is the Manufacturer of the NFA item.  Thats why the form is called an Application to MAKE and Register a Firearm.

Ok so I would copy section 3b of his form 1 onto section 4 of my form 4? Because he is the manufacturer correct?

How do you guy recommend mailing it and would you use a cashiers check?

I just use my regular checks.  You can use a cashier's check though if you want.

As for mail.  It doesnt matter.  I like to track mine and I hate bending it so I usually use a USPS envelope and get tracking.  but its not necessary.  When they send it back, they send it in a regular envelope and folded in thirds.
