Been looking around. I can get an 11-87 for around 600 new but I've seen older 1100's for the same price range. Also found a Beretta 390 for around 500. Comes with 4 chokes. Any ideas?

I have Franchi Affinity that I picked up for just over 700 that I love. I have never shot or seen the Baretta 390, but I would be shocked if it wasn't a good gun.

I am soon to be listing an As New in Box Franchi 20 gauge semi auto Model 620 VS (Brescia, Italy) imported by Benelli USA. It has several chokes and also fitting shims. The barrel is 28". I bought it several years ago but it is unfired. The wood grain is beautiful.

You might wish to Google it for reviews and photos to get more specifics. I hope to get some photos made soon.

I have yet to list it, so feel free to PM me if you develop any interest. It will be $550.

I probably won't list it for another 2 to 3 days.

Good luck!

I just picked up my new Stoeger m3000 today. $485 isn't too bad for a NIB inertia driven gun. I'm super pleased with it out of the box and can't wait to shoot it. It will be for 3gun.

I have an older 1100 that I shoot a lot, and it's a great shotgun, too. However, the 30" bbl that comes on the 3" magnum receivers will not cycle light loads reliably because the barrel only has one gas port. I purchased a new barrel (has two ports), and it will cycle anything I throw at it now. An older 1100 is a fine choice. I have not shot an 11-87.

It's hard to beat a nice beretta for skeet/trap if you want to spend the money. I'm not familiar with the 390. If your looking in the $600 range, the 1100 or 11-87 should serve you well. Is the 11-87 wood or synthetic? Me personally, I would want wood stock for a skeet/trap gun.

The 390 was a long-time flagship shotgun for Beretta.  It will be the most excellent choice of what you have mentioned for your intended purposes, not to mention the versatility for sporting clays or for hunting.

I have shot the beretta 390 since 2000 both sporting clays and upland game with my wood stocked one and ducks and geese with my synthetic stocked one. I highly recommend this gun. I have never seen one jam. We rented them out at the sporting clays range and cleaned them about once a month. Never any problems. As long as you do not need to shoot 3 1/2 you will not beat it. Both of mine were purchased sub $500.
