I exited out of the video in fear that a stripper pole might appear!  :ugh:

Someone needed to operate that catwalk...

I saw this a few days ago and cringed through it.

But, it is Japan. He likely made a boatload of cash doing it. A lot of celebs go overseas to do commericals. Ever see the Arnie commericals? Those are just damned creepy.

The video was a bit over the top, but I think his response was pretty good.

He should have just replied "Eff you guys... I was just having fun and making bank for it.  You wish you were me."

That update sucks! He says there were half-naked women on stage whipping each other and he doesn't have the common decency to share the pics? What a tool.

I know right??

That was a well thought out, reasonable response. I applaud CC on his professionalism and giving us an insight to the event that I know I glossed over.

That said, still gayer than a Nashville guitar player dressed like Taylor Swift  .

I know nothing about Chris Costa other than what I've read here and at those links.  I don't think I'd heard his name before a few weeks ago.

I can forgive the stage dance and I must admit I envy witnessing the hot Japanese chicks.  What I can't forgive is that ridonkulous grip he uses on his rifle.  I see no advantage and several disadvantages to it.

Oh come on! He didn't even have a thigh holster and trauma-hawk. How could anyone take him serious as an operator?

Not to make an argument either way, but I saw this explanation by Mike Pannone today.

I know. I was making a joke about how much real world experience he actually has. Does anyone know if he ever competed in the shooting sports, like 3 gun or similar competitions?

Just curious if he actually has a background in what actually works or if he just decided to separate himself from the pack with his unique way of doing things. Not the first time it has happened.

One of the biggest phonies is Pat Rogers. Most of his claims have been proven to be false but he sure marketed himself well. He is another person who will never see a dime of mine not anyone who associates with him.

Well that's rather disheartening about Pat Roger's as I rather enjoyed his training video. Care to share what it is that makes him a fake?

I liked his response, if not overly lengthy. I still think the issue is how serious he is taken by what equates to "fantasy camp warriors" on this side of the pond. People get overly serious about something that might be a one in a million situation and dedicate their lives to it. He's not teaching combat techniques to combat fighters, and it's nice to see that reality.. To see him be a normal goofy American, is in some ways a nice leveling.

Training is great and skill proficiency is important, but perspective is probably the most neglected skill we develop. He makes bank teaching "fantasy camp" and good for him, but it shouldn't be a surprise when that realization is recognized.

Think of it this way. Rocket scientists created the nuclear bomb and sent men to the moon using fundamental science. That doesn' mean that every high school science teacher is a rocket scientist. ;)
