Drive Cam

Is there anyone else on here who absolutely hates Drive Cam?

If you know what it is you probably drive a vehicle with one or work for a company that uses them.

Never heard of it but a quick search tells me that it could be pretty annoying to have someone watching me all day.  I like to rock out in the car but I don't even do it around other cars, I just don't think that I could handle that.  I would so put that in my kids car though.

We had them in our duty vehicles in the Marines. They wanted to make sure we weren't being morons. We also had gps trackers and speed sensors. It makes for a long, boring drive.

We didn't need speed sensors in the old Vietnam-era deuce-and-a-halves. Those trucks topped out at about 57 mph.

All drives were long and boring. Edited by enfield

It's funny you mention that, my dad was pulled over in '69 in Nam in an APC..... for speeding. :D

True story: awhile ago i was working in east knoxville, had finished a delivery and was driving back toward magnolia ave. on one of the little side streets.

Im driving a Semi and am realy just crawling along trying not clip any power lines or tree branches. Approching an intersection i see a group of individuals on a street corner.

Some guy is just standing there selling drugs. just blatant not hiding it at all. So im watching and to be honest not realy paying attention to the road ( only going like ten MPH)

And go right thru a stop sign. when i see the stop sign i tap the brakes and set off the drivecam. :yuck: So i get a write up for that.

My first drivecam incidence in almost two years. but still I Hate Drive Cam

I have them in my work truck and hate them as well, however (two sides to every coin) we have had drivers set up for wrecks and the drive cam cleared them.
