Talon grips

I learned something today....

I recently purchased the talon granulate grip for my new M&P bodyguard which makes the gun basically stick to your hand. I'm always conscious to put my gun in my left pocket (left handed) but today I slipped my phone in the same pocket. I pulled the phone out and noticed a very deep dime sized scratch. Bam. They got me. Those grips are serious stuff. Scratched the piss out of my iPhone 6 plus. I've noticed this stuff is incredibly abrasive. We'll see how it does as a carry accessory. My fear is its abrasive to wear through pockets, destroy leather, obviously glass as well.

I'd recommend their rubber texture to prolong the life of clothing and such. That's what I use on my carry guns...sorry about your phone!

If I weren't on my phone right now I'd link a time stamped picture of the receipt for the glass screen protector I just ordered on Amazon lol. And yea, it was just a mindless mistake. Edited by S4boost

Take some sand paper to those grips and it will make them noticeably less abrasive while still maintaining the grip. That's what I did with my Talon grips.

This. It shouldn't need much to take down the abrasives to where it won't rub holes in you pockets. One other tip if you wear nicer slacks, a tailor should be able to sew in some leather patches to the inside of the pockets. Should work fine for heavier slacks like khakis not sure about lighter weight ones though.

Nice tip. Thanks!

I greatly prefer the rubberized GunTape brand material for this reason.  The abrasive sort is hell on your clothes, skin, anything in your pockets.... just anything it gets up against.
