I know this has been brought up before but wanted to see if anyone was interested in having maybe a weekly meeting at Shoney's in Donelson Tuesday around 7 PM TGO members can meet up and say hello and talk guns in a friendly environment if anyone is interested in this please post

Just a suggestion, but Starbucks could also be a nice place to meet up.

I know they got some stink a while back for telling OC'ers not to carry in their place, but they never posted as far as I know. I conceal carry in Starbucks all the time. :)

I like your idea.  Probably a little further than I would care to drive(50 miles) in a 4-wheeler. Plus the Wildkitties are playin' tonight.

Starbucks is ok but small, shoneys by the airport has a back room an they stay open till midnight for the long winded and good chats. That back room can handle 50 people easy, for free....

I posted it on the calendar, 7 PM shoneys donelson next tuesday jan 13th back room. Ill clear it w the manager. we should be gtg. Just for fun, i just saw the thread in the benefactor area, doh! kilts optional underwear mandatory.Its warm and they have coffee, plenty o room to carry on!

It's a change for me coming from Crieve Hall, but it's nice and quiet! I can't get over how early things close here. Crazy. Monkey actually moved here at 13 and went to school here but moved at 18 back to the big city, we moved back to be closer to family.

Sounds like a great idea, but Mondays and Tuesdays are band rehearsal nights for me (different band each night), so I'm pretty much a no-go... a shame too, since my band rehearsals on Mondays are in Donelson, less than 2 miles from that Shoneys.

Well I'm in Columbia, and going to Nashville in there traffic is like getting teeth pulled. Something I try to avoid. But with that said i will go there maybe once a month. Locally i will do weekly if anyone is interested

"A little more local" is a relative idea. It would be great if there were a few of these going on around the state! It has been done in the past.
