Any DJI Phantom Pilots?

Santa brought me a DJI Phanotom Vision + for Christams.

I got lots of Heli and fixed wing time plus some Parrot AR Drone time.

I wondered if anybody else has flown them. Favorite companies for parts, best source for info, pitfalls? I want to stay ahead of the learning curve.

I am really looking forward to the video recording capibility.

I find them intriguing but can't justify the cost right now. I have fixed and rotary wing time too and can think of a thousand good uses for one.

I'm really looking forward to a property survey at my place. You can setup waypoints and it will fly over them and return home.

I've been to Hobby Lobby in Brentwood and if you aren't in their club already, it's hard to get "in".

I speak from google-foo and my own research - not from personal experience... so pour some grains of salt over it.

You've probably read about it, and the manual states it. ... but ... Calibrate. Every. Flight.

The infamous "I watched my Phantom xx fly off into the horizon...." seems to happen to those who do not.
