Anyone here do gravel hauling? I need at least a 22 ton truck of crush and run.

Wanted to see if anyone here on TGO did that.

I'm in Athens

Where are you buying it from? They will usually haul for a small fee, less than $100. Most private guys will charge close to that just to cover time and fuel cost. Also you do know its crusher run not crush and run right?

Probably the cheapest I ever heard of anyone paying was about $375 for a tandem load and that was in 2001. Most of the guys just tried to make $100 to haul a load that took 2 hours of their time. I was in the topsoil business at one time and did some trading with tandem axle truck drivers. I have not talked to anyone who has bought a load in years, but I would have figured people were paying closer to $500 nowadays.

It's around $400 here, a little less if you order multiple loads. The price is crazy. I understand the issues, but $400 for a load of rocks, ouch. In 2004 I could get a load for $250. The price is the main reason my driveway looks like crap these days, just can't bring myself to pay that. Have even considered buying a cheap dump truck, just a single axle and hauling it myself.
