New shotgun, headed for a trench gun build

I picked up a used Mossberg 500 for stupid cheap at the LGS where I have good friends yesterday. We took it to the milling machine and cut the 24" barrel at 18.5" then surfaced it to make it perfectly square. Now we just need to drill and tap for a front bead, and I am going to strip, age, darken and refinish the wood to fit the trench/old school theme, and probably add a blued heat shield down the road at some point. For now I've got a good 5 + 1 home defense and general purpose shotgun.

Great job... I love these old shotguns... Now to find an old Remington 870 small frame 20 gage to cut down...
