Never did read type gun or caliber. I am guessing 380 or 22 with safety off. :( Very sad

Patton said on the first page that it was an M&P Shield. Yeah, a 2 year old can pull that trigger, but I have a safety on mine.

Has this been posted anywhere else?  Every news story that I have seen hasn't specified the caliber or the model.  Not doubting Patton, but I'm on another site where no one knows what type of gun it was.

Read this story, folks. It makes things a little more clear.

I'd like people to follow that up by reading this.

There's no doubt that this incident was a terrible tragedy and one that anti-gunners will jump on. We need to make sure we do our part in educating people as well. Edited by KKing

Someone from the sheriff's department was talking to te press on tv and I heard him say that it was a 9mm, M&P Shield. He referred to it as one of the newest, but most commonly concealed carry guns out there.

Actually, if you google "Veronica Rutledge M&P Shield" you will get several pages of stories. Edited by Patton
