so I left a 12 ga. 00 buck round in my britches yesterday after Shotgun school, and the pants (and the shell) got washed.

so is the primer disabled now ?

Like BK said... only one way to find out!! I suggest having some kind of wooden rod (longer than your barrel) at the ready in case you get some kind of squib that leaves anything in your barrel as an obstruction. Let us know how it goes!

Yep, let us know. I washed a Czech 7,62x54R silver tip that was in my pocket.

It actually made into the dryer too! Heard it clanking around is how I found it. That weekend I stuck it in my M44......BANG!!!! I dunno 'bout a shot shell, they aren't as well sealed, But there is little that can go wrong. Just be sure it clears the barrel like musicman said. ALSO, if it don't go bang, keep it to your shoulder for a few seconds in case of a hang fire. Then be sure to eject in a safe direction. But you already knew that, didn't you:p

I changed out all those rounds and then shot 'em a few weeks later... 18 bangs. I figured they would be fine, but I would never trust my life to them.

The primer will fire - water and Tide won't hurt it. The powder may not burn if it's wet. I'd pitch it.

striaght bleach can ruin a primer, but tide with bleach actually doesnt penetrate
